January 17, 2012 Board Meeting Agenda Item #15 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #12-0171 FOR HVAC MECHANICAL SERVICES Description Bids to provide 'HVAC Mechanical Services' were received from five vendors on December 13, 2011.  The bids of Total Building Solutions and United Mechanical, Inc., were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications.  The bid of Boyd Brothers Service was non-responsive to the requirement to provide a Class A license.  The bid of Air Mechanical and Service Corporation was non-responsive to the requirement for mechanical services to be the primary business of the vendor.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the transfer from capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department.
